In New Plymouth we are looking are looking a Refrigeration Service Technician, this person would need level 4 certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and also their Electrical Service Technician practising license, preferably with some industrial refrigeration experience.

North Island Sustainability Advisor
Based in our Auckland office we are looking for an experienced health and safety advisor to coordinate and oversee the health, safety and environmental aspects of our North Island branches.
We are New Zealand’s most innovative refrigeration company, leading the way with both technological development and design, and environmental sustainability. We are the only refrigeration company to hold ISO:14001 accreditation.
At Active Refrigeration we develop innovative refrigeration and natural refrigerant based cooling, freezing & heating solutions for a number of industries and markets across New Zealand for commercial and industrial plant along with comfort air conditioning.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen to lead HSE in the North Island for an experienced advisor who wants to implement and drive safety management processes as part of a wider national team.
- Offer practical advice and hands on support to senior management and engineers
- Drive and promote health and safety culture throughout the company
- Liaise with clients on health and safety issues
- Ensure on site compliance obligations are met
- Maintain sustainability policy compliance in accordance with ISO 14001
- Report into the National Sustainability Advisor
The Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills, an ability to build effective relationships
- 5+ years of health and safety experience
- Hands on experience within an engineering industry
- Must have HSE qualification, preferably to Level 4 National Certificate
- A practical experience of permit to work systems, JSAs and SSSPs
- Advanced computer skills
- Advanced communication skills
- Must be able to work autonomously within a greater team environment
- Have a good working knowledge of hazardous substances
